We're not mid summer (at least temperature-wise). Outside I'm not wearing a mask. In the open air with a breeze diluting any exhaled pathogens, I'm not worried. In indoor public places I'll wear it. I'v made it through the entire pandemic in NYC doing this, and haven't gotten it.

When all is said and done, and they've figured out where most of the transmissions happened, I'm betting the key factor will be overcrowded housing. I look at the zip codes in NYC where it hit the hardest, and it's in the neighborhoods were you'd expect people to be illegal packed into also illegally subdivided housing.

I find that people who obsess over those who don't want to wear face masks are seem unstable.

I don’t freak out about it, but if I’m able to social distance, either inside or outside. I take it off. It is frigging hot and humid in the south in the summer. It feels like smothering sometimes.

To me, it seems more important to carry antiseptic wipes. I won’t touch a grocery cart or a key pad or a door handle without wiping it. I’ve gone back to disposable grocery bags (sorry sea turtles), and of course, wash hands whenever I come home.

Because Americans love telling people what to do.. but HATE being told what to do.

“Comply, listen to authority, blah, blah, blah”

Scientist: Stay home, wear a mask

“Don’t tell me what to do, freeedumb”

I never heard this kind of outcry over "No shirts, no shoes no dice". The mask thing has become political.

I wonder what trumpees would do if he started wearing a mask and advocating that others did the same. The whiplash would be painful!

Right?? Do these people get triggered when their surgeon wears a mask? Who is the surgeon protecting, themselves or the patient?
If 95% of the population wore masks, 40,000 people could be saved by October. But, by all means, don’t wear your “uncomfortable” masks. You might as well be a domestic terrorist.

Linking the wearing of masks to a loss of freedoms is a uniquely American phenomena. A significant number of them have a lock on stupid.
The mask has never been personal protection but for the protection of others.

Only a selfish dumbazz put's his personal comfort at greater import than the safety of others.

Warning to everyone; the bridge ahead is out - Americans you are "free" to proceed regardless.

Morons.

Only in America. These God-loving crazies are making it worse for everyone. I KNEW that this would happen simply because those ppl will never conform even if it is for the public good.

If you're doing blue collar, physical work . They ARE a pain in the rear to wear. I'll agree with that.
