Anti-maskers aren't just adult toddlers who throw tantrums about masks. They are a direct threat to the health and safety of innocent people, and a threat to our economy because of their role in extending the severity of the pandemic.
As far as I'm concerned, in a virus hot spot anti-maskers should be treated like drunk drivers. There is no difference. When drunk drivers get behind the wheel, they think they won't hurt anybody and they overestimate their ability to "handle it." It isn't until it's too late, after they have sobered up, that they learn they killed two people in a T-bone accident. Same with anti-maskers: "I'm not sick, I don't need no stinkin' mask." Later, after the contact tracer calls, then they find out that their carelessness put somebody into the ICU.
Imagine if drunk drivers insisted on having the "freedom" to drive drunk because America and so on. That's what the anti-maskers are asking for.
I completely agree and I think some stores are getting the message that their customers won't shop in a store where masks are optional. I went to a neighborhood Walmart today and there was a guard at the door turning away anyone without a mask, he wasn't listening to sob stories he just shook his head no and stood in front of them until they left. I loved it, so many petulant children getting served in such a short time After that I went to Home Depot where the manager was escorting a maskless customer out of the store, the customer was reading off his list of excuses for not wearing a mask the manager said "Go to Lowe's maybe they will let you in but I won't"

Those stores will really love it when their corp profit is down and/or when they get sued for it.
Yeah, I got get the freak out. We have something we can do, while annoying to wear at times... it's a relatively simple way to have a significant positive impact.
Two individuals were arrested at a Yuma, Arizona Walmart Wednesday after intentionally coughing on store employees.
According to information from the Yuma Police Department, Frank Montoya and Victoria Parra Carranza refused to wear face masks inside the store. Walmart management wanted the two individuals ejected from the premises. Montoya and Parra Carranza refused to leave without causing a disturbance.
"While attempting to stop Montoya and Parra Carranza to identify them and give them an official trespass, both refused and Montoya became confrontational," said a post on the Yuma Police Department Facebook page.
When officers arrived, they tried to stop and identify Montoya and Carranza to give them an official trespass, but "both refused and Montoya became confrontational," according to Yuma Police spokesperson Sgt. Lori Franklin.
Montoya tried to fight the officers as they attempted to arrest him as Parra-Carranza tried to interfere with the arrest, Franklin said.
The pair was eventually taken into custody were facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault. They were booked in the Yuma County Adult Detention Facility.

Around here it is just the opposite. I see, I would estimate, about 20% of people in general wearing a mask while in public. There are a few businesses that, early-on, required a mask. Most have dropped that because they had very few customers and were in danger of going under. I know I walked away from a few and simply ordered what I wanted from Amazon. If you wear a mask, or full hazmat suit, I couldn't care less. Just keep your nose out of my affairs. And if you are a business that wants to require one, fine. Just don't bellyache if you have very few customers.
