The point is that YOU were alive when people had these attitudes.....right? You are still alive....right?
That makes absolutely no sense. So because people are still alive 56 years since the Civil Rights Amendment became law, they still abide by attitudes long made illegal, and are just Racist by default? You are the bigoted, prejudiced one. Wow.

Wow....someone needs to update wikipedia on the term idiocy and provide a link to your post. Legislating attitudes? OMG....this is why we can't get anywhere on the issue of race. Intellectual constipation. You better pull out your pocket black to speak for you....you are doing a terrible job speaking for yourself.
I'm flabbergasted

Yeah....I see whites glorifying thug life as they are the largest consumer, by far, of hip hop music. Obviously the seem to like seeing blacks like that....they seem to support it.
Those whites are emulating popular BLACK CULTURE, and they're usually refered to as wannabes....even by blacks.
And not all hip hop music celebrates "thug life".
But when it does popularize that image and you do your level best to emulate it, you can hardly blame society for treating you the way your asking to be treated.
If I as a white guy dress and act like a trailer trash redneck, then society is going to treat me like a trailer trash redneck.
Thinking that POC should be exempt from that same paradigm is beyond the bounds of logic and common sense.

Popular black culture emulated southern white culture. When blacks moved up north they emulated the urban culture of whites, with gangs and illegal activities. Don't forget all the white gangsters that used to plague America. Whites laid the framework and example that blacks followed. Totally American made.
Because if he admitted that he and his wife made good choices that resulted in a successful life, he’d have to admit the flip side: that others make poor choices that result in a less successful life. And then he couldn’t blame racism for every failure that a black person has.
great post, but there is no force on the planet that would ever stop the OP from blaming racism for every failure that a black person has.

Wherever it came from is irrelevant to the point I'm trying to get across.
Black or White, if you look and act like a criminal, society is going to treat you as if you are a criminal.
You don't get an exemption from the way that works because of the color of your skin.

Thank you. And this applies broadly too: it is why leftists are reluctant to give credit to people who make wise decisions, and sacrifices, in order to succeed. Because by acknowledging that some people make good decisions, it would mean that others do NOT. And as we know, leftists want to blame every poor outcome on everybody but the person who made the bad decision that led to it, even if only partially to blame. Poor, “oppressed” minorities can never be held responsible, to any degree, for any predicament in which they find themselves.
