If you expect good governance in bad times, try to avoid electing an incompetent narcissistic moron.

Something is going on, this is NOT the Trump we have seen the past 3 years, MAYBE he thinks letting these thugs run amuck is going to help but folks in the suburbs want to see him DO SOMETHING to stop this THAT would help him, sitting back and watching it unfold will not help. It makes no sense to me.
Me either. Could he be allowing the democratically controlled areas to speak volumes to most of the voters?

yes and the second this is done every Democrat and media like CNN and MSNBC will be calling Trump a tyrant and a dictator for doing so. It is what they want. Everything is to convince people its Trumps fault ignoring the fact that it is the Mayors and Governors who are responsible for civil order. Take the Floyd killing somehow that is the Republicans and Trumps fault and the fault of Racism. How do we know this because every Democrat said so, the same Democrats who were in charge of the city and police for years and decades and whose policies led to a bad cop staying on the force. In fact almost every incident you see involving Police abuse of power is in Democrat controlled cities, but that is ignored. Cuomo packs Covid patients into nursing homes where the most vulnerable are living and a bunch of people die. Trumps fault, see how it works.

Its really a pretty basic tactic. Generates more Trump hate among people who would not be voting for him anyway but it does give them more incentive to show up on election day and at the same time it discourages people either not to vote for Trump or just stay at home. Wont take a lot to sway the Election.

For instance, Chaz/Chop is playing with fire because he could arguably use the insurrection act against those occupying the "autonomous zone.

He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. I am glad he has chosen to use restraint thus far and leave it in the hands of state and local government, leaving them to foul their own nest.

Oh, you must be talking about Durkan and Inslee, et al. I'm glad we agree.

Then at least address the nation from the Oval and implore the governors to do something. He has an obligation to lead or at least to try to.

He knows that whatever he does, it will be criticized and condemned by the self-appointed "progressive" advocacy.

And he also knows that much of his own core constituency doesn't expect him to produce a plan -- nor does it want one.

Best to just play another round.

Now this I don't disagree with.

He needs to unequivocally place the responsibility on the do nothing state and local officials.

Too many people, as demonstrated in this thread, aren't aware that they bear the responsibility for what's happening in their states and cities.

He needs to get that message out their to the politically uninformed.

So he can retweet people saying white power and calling them his supporters but he’s afraid of criticism by calling for masks, or for people to stop rioting?

Interesting.
