No threat to the couple. They were on their way to the Governor's house.
In some places they have destroyed things on their way. Besides,I would have done the same thing. I would have let them know that trashing my house would not come easy.
According to the couple, the mob threatened to take their guns, kill their dog, and burn down their house. This is what life looks like with no police.

So? No threat to the couple. They didn't actually DO those things, did they?

Those people had no business being in that couples neighborhood unless they were mowing the grass. They broke down a gate to get access to that community. The peaceful protest ended at that moment.

It wasn't a protest, it was a riot. They broke down the gate at the community entrance and were trespassing on private property and threatening to murder the residents and burn down homes. Shoot, shovel, shut up time. Better question? Where were the cops when these savages were on the hunt? Glad the good guys were able to protect themselves and their homes. Hope the rioters get arrested, charged for trespassing and vandalism and made to pay for the damage done.
These morons were trespassing on private property, after all the looting and mayhem going on under the guise of 'protests,' I don't fault them one bit.
Maybe the couple should have shot them, I would not convict them of anything.
I think by Missouri law,
You can legally use force if someone breaks into your property (house). A few months ago, a teenager was shot and killed by the home owner and when the thief broke into his home. No Charges were brought against the home owner.
