At about 3:00 AM, SPD’s 911 Center received multiple calls of shots fired in the area near 12th Avenue and East Pike Street. Callers also reported observing a white Jeep Cherokee SUV at or near one of the barriers surrounding the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP) zone just prior to the shooting. Callers reported several unidentified people had fired shots into the Jeep. Two injured individuals, presumably the occupants of the Jeep, were transported to Harborview Medical Center in a private vehicle. One of the victims, an unidentified adult male, was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. A second victim, a 14-year-old male, remains hospitalized with gunshot injuries. Detectives searched the Jeep for evidence, but it was clear the crime scene had been disturbed.
At the risk of sounding like I'm blaming the victims, trying to enter a lawless zone at 3:00 o'clock in the morning does not strike me as being the wisest possible course of action.

It's not possible to communicate how dysfunctional these city authorities are. like children who are all grown up and don't know what to do.

They were near one of the barriers. Thought I saw another report 'as they approached the barriers'. Basically it sounds like a homeowner shooting a potential invader out on their sidewalk and not in the home.

So "their" territory wasn't even invaded and their citizenry/a mob tampered with a crime scene. Along with murdering someone.

It’s Somalia in the US.

Only a liberal would pine for warlord rule.

I couldn't believe it when she made her "Summer of Love" comment. Way to take it seriously.

I took their comment as being aimed at CHOP itself.

That dumbass mayor should be dragged out of office.

Summer of love. What the hell is wrong with her?? Blatant disrespect for the people rights that live in that area. You get a bunch of stinky hippies crapping all over the rights of the business owners and residents of that area.
