People aren't protesting the USA. They are protesting because they are in the USA and can fight for social justice.
Hang your flag -- put on your stars and stripes board shorts or bikini and tell your neighbor to have a drink, some some weed, do some meditation.
This isn't about Social justice anymore. The BLM movement was never really about social justice. Black lives are being used to advance a pro-socialist, fascist, Marxist movement. Once people realize where the money they donate to BLM really goes they will regret their decision to donate to their own self-destruction. Fly your flag proudly while you still can.

Trump is extending friendly overtures to Putin while Putin has a bounty on U.S. soldiers. Trump claims he was never briefed, which means he is lying or the intelligence agencies don't trust the President with intelligence. In any case, he has known since last week, and still no response.
While our nation is in the midst of a poorly managed pandemic, Trump's administration has joined a lawsuit at the Supreme Court to eliminate ACA. If the Supreme Court rules in their favor, millions will lose their health insurance in the midst of a pandemic. Striking down ACA, will also mean eliminating protections for pre-existing conditions. Covid would be one of these conditions.

We are in danger of losing the nation so many risked put their lives on the line for.
Not sure that's worth celebrating, but go ahead and wave whichever flag you wave.
You could celebrate that you can say anything you want, you are free to earn a living, you don't have to stand in line at 3 am to get toilet paper and you can peacefully protest.
Frankly, I find your post disgusting. I wish people like you would have to go live in Communist China or the USSR for a decade or two.
Read the Constitution, learn how to handle the flag properly at all times (or not -as the law allows- makes me cringe).
Adorning oneself in regalia often means one considers it a partisan symbol... (cough) a public signal of ones ignorance of the whole point - which should embarrass one into stop such nonsense.
I love the flag. I love what promise it has signified and I recognize it’s misguided use in history. I look out and see the huge flag every morning. They don’t lower it when called for, I - don’t do much - because I cant, but I get really mad and sad.

You can create some other myth to justify why you feel the way you do.
And of course left leaning anarchists will support some kind of fight against right leaning govt.

WHITE POWER --- we had a President of the USA post a tweet where White Power was the cheer....not once but twice.
He didn't hear it, get the meaning whatever....we live in a world where we have racial tension and our President tweets that.
If President Trump had any gumption he would have immediately released a statement apologizing and realizing how this kind of chant can make so many American f.eels . He didn't. It was dimissed -- he didn't hear, didn't have the sound on. Oh well all is right in the world again. Like his refusal to condemn the white supremacists in Charlottesville and claim -- some of them were nice people -- his refusal to own his mistake and condemn these people is disgusting.

I dont see any reason whatsoever to NOT put out the flag. Never heard anyone even hint that there is any kind of issue with it.

This thread is proof of how fearful people are these days. Just look at all the comments "we are finished", and people wondering if its safe to fly the flag. What a bunch of wussies.

One thing we know for sure: the Trump & Russian propaganda has worked. If you keep repeating things, people will eventually start believing it, and the fact that someone burning a flag in some corner of the nation has millions of people wondering if they are safe to fly it, shows the propaganda has worked exceptionally well.
