Yall most probably wouldn't know a single word of it. I grew up listening to this. My grandfather played music with him. I know what he's singing and sing along when this is playing. Love love Cajun French.
FYI...Cajun language was "banned" a long time ago. I remember my grandparents telling me that in school they would get whooped when they spoke French. It was shunned. But thankfully the language is preserved through perseverance and passed on to younger generations.

my first exposure to zydeco was after i moved to east texas. i would hear the craziest-sounding accordion music on late night AM radio, and it took quite a while before i learned it actually had a name. i like it.
