First of all, thank you for your service. I and most people realize that most law enforcement is doing the right thing.

I've heard of this before about social workers needing police escort service. The whole idea of social worker replacing police is ludicrous. My post about trying it out is an attempt at being fair and open minded to the idea of law enforcement reform. When it turns out to not be such a great idea then lesson learned.

A sad day for America.

CHOP was a real alternative to our local power structure across the country, and provided a communal form of living that wasn't dependent on financial speculation or private zoning laws.

Now Capitol Hill will be brought back into the fold so big companies can reinvest and take governance away from the actual residents.

I hope you guys are happy, its is all downhill from here.

Don't worry, it's unlikely that anyone will want to reinvest in a garbage tier city that can't prevent communists from taking over several blocks and murdering people in the streets.

I wish, but this is what will happen.

The residents and their 'small businesses' (red: distributors of big capital) will happily go back to their gleeful lives of serving consumer interests and turn the streets back to a residential zone dependent on the wider metro area and municipal government.

Why do you think Amazon is based in the city, or Starbucks for that matter? Seattle is a center for financial speculators, but the people of capitol hill turned their neighborhood into a cooperative society where labor is pooled together rather than made competitive.

But yuppies and immigrants with no connection to the land have destroyed the chance for CHOP to turn into something more.

Well, keep hope alive that the evil capitalists will leave and those remaining can go back to your communist utopia of warlord rule with people being murdered in the streets. With any luck, Seattle can become the Venezuela of the US. Their citizens certainly deserve that to happen based on their voting record.
