In my opnion America is moving into a new and dangerous era
we already have private prisons who profit from locking people in cages while aggressively lobbying for stricter sentences and enhanced penalties for things like drug possession
All this screaming and prattling for "police reform" could very well be the last nail in the coffin for a democratically-controlled Public Safety division who actually cares about who gets elected as it heavily impacts their working environment
will we in the near future see the corporate takeover of law-enforcement resulting in a blackwater mercenary style of enforcement with a Walmart model of employment
Donald Trump absolutely loves privatization of Public Services as you can see with his appointment of Ditzy DeVos (the sister of Eric Prince of BLACKWATER FAME) to the position of Secretary of Education who now fights like a honey badger in mating season to make sure your tax money no longer gos exclusively to public education who must operate under the open books policy and constitutional requirements of a public human service
So it seems like the perfect storm for a hostile corporate takeover of armed Protective Services in our country
no more pesky police Unions
no more costly retirements
just a turnover circus of Walmart style assembly line workers who come in to do a job for a few months get fired and then have to start over again never earning enough money to pay off a home or retire
Meanwhile a private Corporation that doesn't have to belabor "burdensome guberment
reg-lay-shuns" or the requirement to allow taxpayers to see exactly how their tax money is spent can finally lay back and siphon off the tax dollars without worrying about who gets elected by the plebeians since they now have total command and control over the armed services and the next "contract negotiation" will come with a big bag of money for the elected official or better yet just a friendly reminder that they could have you killed at any moment

Bah, we won't be hiring mercs. Plenty of law abiding gun owners that will just go all "vigilante " if the police are defunded. Long past time anyway-our criminal justice system doesn't do a damn thing but put criminals back on the streets. When we start stacking them like cordwood, my bet is that crime will magically plummet.

I said I see the demand surging due to all of the social unrest as of lately. Are you referring to armed services or police? Your posts are all over the place. Are you suggesting that he will institute a national police force that is manned by private mercenaries? So is he going to rip up the constitution and start disbanding the police departments across the country, because you know not all localities are going for this disband the police gimmick.
