What is interesting is that virtually every rural county in Oklahoma voted "no" on this. The urban counties pushed it through.
The rural county hospitals are the entities that get the most benefit from the ACA Medicaid expansion. But that's how deluded rural people are concerning Obamacare.
I wonder if Oklahoma will institute the work rules like Arkansas and Ohio have done.
That's how conservative/Republican states get to play make believe like they are "rugged individualists".
Sure, you can have your Obamacare but we will set up inefficient and expensive rules to make sure those who get it are at least flipping burgers 20 hours per week.
No, it can't, because the question doesn't specify any work rules. Since the question is part of the state constitution, rather than for the state statues, changing it will be hard, if not impossible.
The main fear is that low income people will ditch their employer's health care plan for free Medicaid.
Maybe if Oklahoma raised the minimum wage to $10 an hour, not as many people will be eligible for Medicaid. Current min. wage is $7.25.
