**NEWS RELEASE**

The football team formerly known as The Washington Redskins, has decided to change its name.

After years of being named in association with corrupt savages interested only in helping themselves, taking land they did not own, doing little to help those around them, and striking fear in the hearts of honest citizens, the team has had enough.

They will henceforth be known as The Redskins.

Isn't "redskin" based on the skin color of many Amerindians? If that's offensive then why isn't "black" offensive in BLM?

Yrp. I was coming here to post that. This will allow folks to buy entirely new merchandise... not to mention anything they can find with Redskins on it. I bet eBay is blowing up.

I am interested in what they will change their name to. I believe they said they said they were keeping the colors, so Red Tails is possible. I like the Red Devils that someone metioned, but they will not tak that name.

I am 3/16 Cherokee Indian and this was an honor to my people to have this team named in reference to native Americans.

This decision is clearly a capitulation to the openly fascist Democrat left and their routine bullying tactics. The owners of the Redskins and the leaders of the NFL are clearly engaging in "Virtue signalling" towards the usual cultural Marxist crowd in ascendancy among the "Politically correct" Democrat left.

In fact what this decision signals is these people's cowardice and their short-sited foolishness. This is yet another example of appeasement and capitulation to unprincipled bullies. This NEVER ends well and in fact only serves to encourage more of the bad behavior that these people are hoping will now vanish as a result of them giving the cultural Marxists what they want.

It is also bad business, and for that heads should roll at the NFL offices, at a minimum. This will just serve to alienate a significant portion of their audience, together with a number of other similar decisions. That is not how you build and grow your business, but how you diminish it.

I find this decision to change this name as offensive, disrespectful and antagonistic to people of native American ancestry, such as myself. This was a big mistake by the NFL.

The team should be ashamed to have ever associated themselves with such a name and should immediately rename themselves to simply "The Redskins".

Not when you factor in FedEx (wh pays for the naming rights to the stadium) Nike and a few oter corporate sponsors had pulled out. Not when you consider all the places that were pulling their team merch down. I believe even the NFL pulled the merchandise.

This was the only business move they could do. The people demanding the name change in past years never got the name change. Only when Dan Snyder was faced with losing a lot of money did he agree to it
