Ironically, they mention karma - not knowing that they'll suffer from karma, as well.

Maybe once they're God smacked it won't be so entertaining anymore.

It is not illegally if the local and state governments that make and enforce the very laws your talking about allow it. Barricading the freeway and entrance ramps is an endorsement by the law makers.

Bloody Jenny (Durkan, Seattle's so-called mayor) is directly responsible for encouraging this crap for so long! She's totally cool with it as long as they stay out of HER privileged neighborhood.

Those who drive on highways have the obligation to enter properly and to be aware of lane closures, etc.

He did neither.

For nineteen days.

Seattle's citizens and all others who use the roadways are being held hostage.

Again, his choice, his decision.
Not saying he isn't responsible, but the City and State created a dangerous situation by allowing people to congregate and remain on a public highway for 19 days prior to this incident. They ALLOWED people to use a public highway to congregate. That's dangerous. Right now every law firm in the Seattle are is contacting her family because they know they've got huge case.

The driver was at fault.
The girl was at fault for being on a public highway at night.
The City and State are at fault for allowing it to happen.

although, the BLM and the libs have been demanding defunding the police departments.
So you’re saying that everyone should just be able to enter highways wherever they feel like?

Mmkay.

Being a control freak is Fascist.
Its a big city with many alternative routes. Noone is taking away your freedom of travel at 3 am in the morning.
You have to be living under a rock if you do not know about these protests and where they are taking place.

There was one guy here in my town that heard about the protests and thought he could get away with running them over and claiming they blocked his travel.

So he hops into his car, drives to the protesters and hits them and is now in prison.

Same comments on a lot of other criminals are made all the time. He was turning his life around, he adored his children. It was so unjust he was shot while committing a robbery, etc.

You know there are protests and civil unrest for the last 2 months plus a VIRUS. As one poster put it, most won't drive in that area at night. I don't live there, so do not know.
If you go around a barrier,,, something bad might happen. That is the driver's choice to take that risk. It did not end well, but I can't put it on the protesters- as the cops know they were out there. It was not -all of a sudden they appeared out of nowhere.
We will know more.
Yes it is difficult driving in a new area at night. But, the driver was from that area. No doubt he'd driven on that stretch of road before. For all anyone knows he may have driven on it just minutes before it was closed down and the protesters arrived. He may have known that there were no major potholes in the road, that a part of it had not collapsed, etc. He just may have not known there were protesters on that stretch of roadway.

The protesters did not set out flares, did not put reflective strips on their clothing or blocking vehicles. It was dark. Apparently he did not see them until he was upon them, and, they did not see him until he was upon them. The protesters, and city officials, should not be held blameless. All should be held liable.
