The local governments around here cancelled the 4th of July fireworks displays due to the covid-19 boogeyman. But some cities had fireworks and they were packed with out of towners. Moreover in the area I am in tonight, where the fireworks were cancelled citizens took matters in their own hand and light up the skies. I have never seen such large, complicated home fire displays before. There were at least 11 large displays going and hundreds of smaller ones. They have been going on for over two hours so far. These are not single fireworks but some fairly sophisticated displays, the only thing is they do not have the ground clearance of the professional displays.

In this time of over reaching, liberty stripping, freedom robbing government encroachment on out Constitutional liberty it was refreshing to see a modicum of civil disobedience fighting for the blessing of liberty. Let freedom ring from sea to shining seas.

Blessed fourth of July to you.
