Neutering the police leads to more murders. Most of the victims are blacks. Do these black lives matter?
Not to the BLM mobs they don't. It's only the blacks, in most cases while they're resisting arrest, that are killed by white police officers that matter to them. And I'm not even sure that they actually matter to them; they just use them as an excuse for their mayhem.
The non-black people protesting don't live in majority black neighborhoods or much less drive through or do business in those neighborhoods, so they don't care. They're just gong with the flow of the false narrative to feel better about their own hidden racial biases and prejudices since it's currently the "hip" thing to do.

Homicide rates in major cities in the USA in 2020 were already on the rise before the pandemic hit. This is based on a recent study by two criminologists who looked at the data for 64 major cities across the US. That is, homicides in Jan, Feb. and March 2020 were HIGHER compared to the same period in 2019.
Then Covid 19 hit and there was a dramatic decrease in homicides in many cities in April and May. As the economies and society opened back up, there was bound to be an increase in homicides and crime.
"Homicides depend on relatively vibrant activity patterns -- lots of people on the street. When the streets are empty, the opportunities for all kinds of street crime go down," according to Richard Rosenfeld, a University of Missouri-St. Louis professor and co-author of the study.
Th authors of the study do think that 2020 will play out with a higher homicide rate than 2019 but that was a trend already in motion before the George Floyd protests.
