Ive never understood the hunting bug, I have tasted venison a handful of times and its just way too Gamey tasting to me, I prefer a nice BIG filet steak anytime...No hunting required.

When it comes to fowl, I hate duck and most small birds, turkey is good, I prefer grilled chicken over anything else though, so again, no hunting required.

However, even though I dont personally like hunting...I have ZERO problems with other people who do like it, more power to them actually.

Because pheasant.

Nothing tastes better than pheasant baked in butter and glazed with orange and chili's.

And I'll bet you've not had venison salami or ring bologna.

Or snack sticks-

To each their own. Cowboy coffee, for example, is probably not for most people but it is how I take the stuff now when I make it at home.

Another thing about hunters: say there is some wild land that a developer wants to build condos on. My most powerful ally in stopping him won't be the environmentalist but the weekend sportsman.

Finally, has anyone noticed that the OP hasn't said anything since #1?

DROOOLLLL

My kids grew up on venison grind so when it's time for spaghetti they go straight for the deer burger. The first time they had it in a sit down place they said, "Dad, somethings wrong with the meat!"

I'm a subsistence hunter. I only hunt, or fish, what I need. It feeds my family.

I don't mind hobby hunters. As long as they utilize the meat. Otherwise it is disrespectful, IMO. The money spent on hunting is used for wildlife disease research, improving forage, researching everything that impacts the environment and the animals, and insects, that live there. The health of the earth is *kind of* important. And healthy flora and fauna is part of that.
