It's fairly balanced really, which is the entire reason I keep coming back here. I want my opinions to be intelligently challenged.

The population of City-Data is slightly more Right.

The mods are slightly more Left.

There's balance in both though.

There are different mods who lean different ways but overall it is more balanced than most internet forums of this nature.

I can't stop laughing at this idea. OMG. Hilarious. Left Leaning. LOL.

If you got a right leaning post deleted on this site it was probably really, really awful considering some of the stuff that is allowed...

Honestly I think the moderators are fair, for the most part, my suspension in 2019 being an exception.
There are plenty of left and right posters on here, it's balanced.

From a perspective of a moderate, this site is quite right leaning. Probably 60-80% of the political posts are from a right wing editor. It wouldn't be so bad if there weren't so many foaming at the mouth opinions being spouted.

That's what I was thinking as well. With what passes here, how much worse could it be?

I think it is left leaning, but probably not for the reasons you state.

Moderators/Administrators are just like the rest of us, some hard left, some hard right, with most in the middle.
I have seen people complaining that being critical of Trump has gotten their posts banned in much the same way you think being pro-Trump has gotten your posts deleted.
In theory they all should be straight down the middle neutral, not playing favorites based on their own ideology/politics.

Sometimes, it was not your post that caused the deletion, rather you quoting someone else that said something worthy of deletion.
Or it could be you were posting a political opinion in a section where it is not allowed. I have made that mistake because I will see an interesting thread title to the right, click on it, and not realize it has brought me into a different section of the forum (i.e. Current Events).

Anyway, if you inquire respectfully and ask a mod why they deleted your post, most will take the time to explain it to you.
