It wasn't the best and brightest that attended that Tulsa rally.

I am an independent and not a fan of either party. But I can't imagine anyone doing a worse job than Trump has done on this. About the biggest thing he has accomplished is convinced otherwise mostly intelligent people that the virus at the least is not a problem anymore and at the worst manipulated by people who want Trump to lose.

You see that in post after post here. Mind boggling.

This is about right. Covid 19 patients might take up 20% or so of total hospital beds. But in the past those beds were the hospitals buffer/slack.

You can tell because they try to distract from the problem by talking about race and protests, post after post. We have a pandemic that is out of control and will drag the economy down again.

And? So a humongous percentage 15-20% (and the percentage is actually much higher in the ICUs) is taken by Covid patients. Do you think hospitals normally sit empty waiting for the next pandemic to happen? The number of Covid Hospitalizations in Texas has increased from 1500 around Memorial day to above 9000 today. If you don't grasp how huge this increase is, can't help you.

How is that possible? There were around 10,000 new cases of the virus on on 7/7. Are you saying that almost all of them were hospitalized because of the virus? Please show your proof of that.

TMC in Houston has 446 covid hospitalizations on 7/7. They have 267 on 7/6. That's a decrease. Are you saying that the rest of the state is opposite of the Houston area?

The purpose of the original shutdown in March was to allow hospitals to prepare for an increase in covid patients. If they failed to do so, they are at fault.
