Can you tell me, what makes this country good? Is democracy necessary, and is this country even a democracy? Tell me about identity-politics and the future of America as America increasingly becomes a majority-minority country.

America aspires to be rich and powerful. It tolerates democracy so long as it pacifies the masses and doesn't get in the way of the "national interests". And it uses capitalism in exactly the way that it is most profitable. America is less capitalist than Keynesian-corporatist, and we use our military and CIA to open markets for US corporations. Establishing Banana-republics and puppet-states all over the world. Including numerous monarchies, such as Saudi Arabia.

I don't want her here either, but she isn't completely wrong.

Dismantle the whole system of oppression?

She works for the mafia. Why don't we start there?

This country has a very high standard of living in comparison to the majority of the world, and is a good place to earn a living and live freely for the most part.

It is not perfect; but no place is. The problem is when people are used to having nothing to fight for - because America has ensured they have no real scarcity or struggle in their lives - they focus on smaller and smaller imperfections.

America has built the modern world and its conveniences and technical marvels, along with a small number of like-minded partner countries - mostly in the Anglosphere.

American interventionism is on the wane. Largely because Trump is dismantling the regulatory state and disentangling the US from intervention and internationalism.

It's the Democrats (Omar's party) that is wedded to globalism, open borders and a continuance of corporatism at this point.

She's an ingrate. America should have left her skinny carcass in the Somalian desert.

The only reason anyone lives in America is because it is rich. The only reason people want to immigrate here is for money. My question was, what does democracy really have to do with it? China isn't a Democracy and it is doing much better than most democracies.

You are making superficial observations without understanding how we got here. The Soviet Union was the first into space, and pretty much everything else other than landing a man on the moon. So what?

Has television, cell phones, and the internet really made life better? Seems like America is less happy than it's ever been. Should I be grateful?

America is losing its empire. We are being forced to pull back all over the world. Countries are allying with China and Russia, or they've become sufficiently rich that they no longer need us. The United States is become slowly isolated. and this pandemic could be its downfall. Especially if the dollar collapses from the weight of all the spending and the contraction of the economy.

I'm opposed to all immigration, even retrospectively.

I don't know.... make things more interesting?

It has been known for well over a couple hundred years now that America aspires to Democracy AND Capitalism. Not a secret. Plenty of other places to go live in that have neither. People with far less than you or Omar have traveled further distances for centuries to get to better places.

Omar is a scab on this country. An ugly, itchy scab. Trump needs to make her the face of the "New Democratic Party" because studies show the more she (and people like AOC) are on TV, the worse it makes Democrats look because Americans universally hate these young, dumb and radical women.
I call for the western world to separate from everyone else, especially the poor and third world countries. This way, the entire western world can be to itself, as it wants to be.

What ever became of the DOJ investigation of her immigration and the allegation she married her brother so he could immigrate?

What ever happened the investigation she used a substantial portion of campaign funds to pay one of her husbands?

One would think if there is any truth to this noise, she would no longer hold office, let alone be eligible to run for re-election in November.

An October surprise, maybe?

That's cool. Just tell the third world to stop sending its people to the west by the millions.

We are full. Stay at home and farm. Or whatever it is the third world is good for.

We will find out soon. Nancy Pelosi has total control of any/ all Bills that come to the House Floor.
IF this abomination lands on the House Floor OR passes any Committee .... it’s on the head of every Democrat, starting with House Leader Pelosi.

The Breathe Act is ( according to their website) The BREATHE Act is a project of the Movement
For Black Lives’ 501(c)4 Electoral Justice Project.

Read it Here

It covers everything from abolishing ALL Law Enforcement, Green New Deal, Guaranteed Income, Free housing, all Debt Forgiveness, Abolishing ICE, Abolishing the DEA, Abolishing all Borders, Free Education- FREE-FREE-FREE, CLOSING ALL Jails and Prisons, releasing all Prisoners .... they didn’t forget the Military either.

And putting Community Organizers in charge of pretty much everything.
