Have Chicago natives fled to Kansas and brought crime with them?

McEnany said this was in response to a letter sent by Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas to Missouri Governor Mike Parson saying “we are at a crisis point and additional tools are needed for law enforcement and prosecutors to interrupt conspiracies to commit murder and the violent acts, particularly felons using deadly weapons in the streets of Kansas City.

Kansas City has had 100 homicides so far in 2020, an increase of 40% from 2019, according to Lucas’ office.

Kansas City; the OP stated "Kansas" rather than "Kansas City" in the title but has it correct in the body of the message.

LeGend Taliferro’s family supportive of operation bearing his name

The Department’s Operation Legend is named in honor of one of Kansas City’s youngest victims, four-year old LeGend Taliferro who was shot in the face while sleeping in his bed. LeGend’s death is a horrifying reminder that violent crime left unchecked is a threat to us all and cannot be allowed to continue.
Horrible. That poor mom, I can't even imagine.

Kansas City asked for help. Chicago and Baltimore didn't.
