Damn, I hate to go all Vlad Țepeș, but it's so hard these days. I wonder if the populace in his country were anything like they are here and now. If so... well, maybe his immoderate ruling style was reactionary to the ludicrous nonsense he saw around him daily.
At any rate, these "parents" need to be dealt with in a similar manner that Vlad Țepeș would have dealt with them. This entire tragedy could have been avoided had the "parents" been sterilized before a child was born and its brain destroyed.

That was a very creepy and disturbing quote. This has all the hallmarks of Münchausen syndrome by proxy, similar to parents who insist their child is gravely ill and subject them to all kinds of unnecessary medical treatment. I think the mother pushed this on her poor son because she always wanted a daughter. This is sick and I feel very bad for little Easton. If he truly is transgender (and I believe transgenderism is most likely a form of mental illness), he can make that decision when he is 18.
Wow, that is profoundly disturbing. The first five years of Easton's life were "so wrong." And only now, when the mother has decided that her son is now a girl, can she be happy with him.
I suspect that Easton went along with this because, one, he didn't have a choice; but also, because he has been conditioned to be regarded as a girl for his whole life. So it probably doesn't seem strange to him to be given a new name and new pronouns. At least, not yet. But I can't help but think that this poor kid will suffer in the years to come for his mother's delusions. Maybe, someday, Easton can escape from the role of being his mother's imaginary daughter and can reclaim his natural self. But he's going to need a lot of help, and it doesn't sound like he'll be getting any from his immediate family.
