We're seeing death counts rise, but thankfully we're nowhere near the 2K/day we were seeing when NY was overwhelmed. I am hopeful we won't get back to that point due to some improvements in treatment and the sharing of best practices by medical staff around the world. Only time will tell. Treatments are still very limited.
The infuriating thing is the continuing issue with testing and results. Six months into this and there are still huge lines for testing in some places and it's still taking a week or longer to get results for many. Even Mick Mulvaney was complaining about it once it impacted his sons. Some places are also still reporting PPE shortages. This is completely unacceptable. The Defense Production Act should have been put into effect immediately. This is an embarrassment for the US.

Please. We have months of data to know how to handle this, hospitals aren't in danger of being overwhelmed. We need to stop testing asymptomatic people. Most of the death rate is made up of those with several co-morbidities. The at risk group is the same as any other respiratory virus, the endless case tracking's only purpose serves to drive hysteria. The madness needs to stop
