Well it's procedure to search someone before putting them in the car but I do agree he should have just held her till a female officer arrived given the nature of your average Austin resident. They are an embarrassing stain on the otherwise great state of Texas.

More like a standard search.

If you read the entirety of what happened prior, this woman was being a menace. Also the officer followed protocol.

I'm still trying to gather what the RAS/probable cause was for extracting her from her property.

She is lucky. Usually they want to touch your butthole.

He's not groping her - looks like standard protocol.

It is against APD policy and Texas State law. A female officer/deputy must do what he did.
Agencies that do not have a female on duty, must call the Sheriff and request one to frisk a female... but a female can frisk a male. Go figure.

Not groping at all, followed the typical procedure exactly. In front of dash cam, other officer present, back of hand, etc.

Hiding stuff in the bra is not uncommon.

You have a link to that policy and law? Because it is hard to believe such laws and policies exist because it could take hours to get a female on scene, in the mean time, the suspect could have a weapon or contraband hidden.

Ya, with that tight ass shirt, the Glock in her bra was telegraphing.
You do understand Terry v. Ohio, right?

What "Reasonable Suspicion" was there she had a weapon in her tight shirted bra? He in no way can reasonably articulate a suspicion.
Them boobies look dangerous was not going to work here.

APD Statement Regarding Arrest of Rosalinda Nuno Trevino | AustinTexas.gov

It says if a female cop is not avail, a male can frisk... Here is the actual statement of the suspect.

Here's a Lil Snippet from same article I posted link:

1. Officers should explain to the person being searched the reason for the search and how the search will be conducted.

2. When practical, an officer of the same gender should be called to the scene when officers believe the subject is concealing items in a sensitive area, such as evidence or narcotics in the groin, buttocks, or breast areas. This does not apply to items that pose an immediate threat to officer safety.

3. If a subject requests a search by an officer of the same gender, an attempt should be made to have a same gender officer conduct the search.

4. If a same gender officer is unavailable, the search should be conducted in front of a Mobile Audio Video (MAV) recording system, if available, or a second officer should be present.

Oh do not worry, we all on here know you have zero clue about cops and what they do.

I however, was a cop, and have a pretty good understanding of things.

You seem a very naive person, like a fragile soul not exposed to the harsh realities of the world.

At that, yes, women have done amazing jobs hiding contraband in their private part areas.
