Agree. As soon as this pandemic broke out, I knew the USA would have a worse time than other countries. There is little or no sense of social responsibility here and people are fixated on their "freedoms".
Thank goodness we still have people fighting to keep our freedoms because people like you would rather give them away. I'd like to see how you feel when you can't make your own choices anymore and are forced into oppression. That is what the Left in American wants and they are pathetic

What riots? It was a “revolution,” I mean no one is rioting anymore because it’s no longer trendy, but it was revolution! We even have a black national anthem! And we got Mississippi to change their flag!

Except protesting wasn't the main problem, it was self entitled lazy people in states that felt the need to congregate in bars and rallies that were all indoors. You look at the numbers in and you cant possible come to another conclusion other than we are reckless.
We better get this under control now or our entire country is in for some very bad times.
Vietnam was one of the first countries to restrict travel from Macau, China, and Hong Kong on Feb. 1st, and 3 days before that, Vietnam stopped issuing visas for those same passports. It also shut it's border with China that same day. During that time, Vietnam's case numbers were still only in the single digits, but the country did not stop there. Schools were set to reopen on February 3 after the week-long Lunar New Year holiday – the first new school week since the virus was first detected in Vietnam on January 23. But classes nationwide were scrapped, despite only eight diagnosed cases at the time in a country of 95 million. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc called the fight against COVID-19 the “Spring General Offensive of 2020,” a reference to the name of North Vietnam’s final push against Saigon in 1975 at the end of the Vietnam War.
By the middle of April, community spread had apparently stopped. By May 14, Vietnam had notched 29 consecutive days without a locally transmitted case. The country has reported a grand total of only 288 cases of COVID-19, with no deaths.
Compare that to the United States, where there are over 100k+ deaths, the pandemic is still raging out of control, and millions of new cases are still cropping up. Even if you account for size differences in population, extrapolation of Vietnam's numbers show how utterly pathetic the US has been at controlling the problem. Imagine if people just listened and sacrificed a few weeks longer in May/early June. We'd be out of the woods by now, but because of stupidity, stubbornness, and inept government response, we will have to deal with this for many months longer. Many thousands more will die, and it will continue to hammer our economy for much longer than it should have. It's quite pathetic we call ourselves the greatest country in the world yet we can't even beat a country like Vietnam (who is supposedly less advanced than we are according to Americans). First they defeat us in war, then they eat our lunch at taming the virus. The differences in results are mind warping. But let me guess, this is where you blame 'fake numbers' and 'fake news' right? Let's also remember Vietnam is much closer to where the outbreak epicenter than we are, yet got it under control like pros.
