Dr Fauci has been a disaster for the entire pandemic. He first said in January that we had nothing to be worried about and that we did not need to take precautions to stop the disease. Then the disease arrives here and he says that masks are not needed and provide a false sense of security. Fauci and the CDC relied way too heavily and without any questioning of the IHME and Imperial model numbers for cases, deaths, hospital beds, and ventilators.
Dr Fauci and the CDC also promoted two weeks to stop the spread line which quickly turned into months of lockdowns and the need to wait several years to re-open for a vaccine. Now we know from Dr Fauci that a vaccine will not be one and done, won't likely be very effective or long lasting which means we will likely need to keep restrictions in place permanently because of this.
The media both love the ratings they get from scaring people and they hate President Trump. When Trump said hydroxychloroquine might be a game changer in the fight against COVID, the media was worried the drug might actually work. They were not only not hopeful the drug would not work but actively campaigned against it and silenced those who had a different opinion on it. You would think that in a pandemic that they would want a drug that could save people to work but they were more worried about the economy opening up quickly and Trump being able to take credit.
The media has been trying to see if they can take down Trump with gotchas. Not enough ventilators? Didn't work for the media. Not enough beds? Didn't work for the media. Catastrophic death totals? Didn't work for the media. They finally got him with the lysol comment but if it wasn't that it would have been something else. They media have been finding anything they can to discredit him and try to chase away his support base.
When people that actually work for a living were in a situation where they had to choose between livelihood and endless lockdown, the media attacked them, demonized them, and tried to have them suppressed. They defended the illogical and unfair lockdown policies. Famous media personalities at CNN refused to quarantine when they tested positive and then gave an attitude when called out on it. Quarantines are for thee, not for me.
After demonizing those in favor of re-opening the country, the media then defended BLM protests and riots as been a noble and worthy cause worth the risk of getting the virus. They insult our intelligence now by arguing that the BLM protests had no role in spreading the virus. Liberals have no intelligence or common sense so they eagerly spout out the lies and bs that the media spreads.
People wonder why mask wearing is so political? When the media constantly pushes Bill Gates and Greta Thunberg as being experts in epidemiology and virology, you know that they only care about the political gain they can achieve from the virus. When the defend Dr Fauci and his lies, you know it is about the politics. Why should we keep giving up freedoms that Dr Fauci and Governor Cuomo both say we will never get back?

I see that Trumps campaign claiming the CDC and the media are part of the deep state has taken hold in his loyal followers, sure this should be a winner in November.
He better come up with a better campaign theme than attacking Fauci.

Completely agree. I mean on any objective basis Fauci has done nothing and failed by any objective measure but what he does do is come out with outlandish and over broad fear tactics. Seriously I could do that.
He should be fired. If no one was in charge I think we would have done much better.

One of my all time Fauci favorites...is when he said it's perfectly safe for healthy people to go on a cruise
....while at the same time we had infected cruise ships holding offshore for weeks
