It's not the America's fault either. None of this is relevant. You "feel bad"...Feelings aren't an argument at all. They don't deserve citizenship, at most they should get renewable work permits and drivers licences.

“As the President announced today, he is working on an executive order to establish a merit-based immigration system to further protect U.S. workers," deputy press secretary Judd Deere said in a statement. "Furthermore, the President has long said he is willing to work with Congress on a negotiated legislative solution to DACA, one that could include citizenship, along with strong border security and permanent merit-based reforms. This does not include amnesty."

He better tread carefully. Citizenship for illegals other than having them go back home and reapply is a deal breaker for me.

There was a Pew Research survey last month that said that 74% supported protections for DACA.

He’s in a tough re-election fight and he will do whatever he thinks necessary to improve his chances. Trump is 100% transactional. It’s all about him. It’s always been that way.

So essentially he is just ANOTHER politician. Starting to remember why I stopped supporting him.

So, I don't get it. If it's not amnesty, then what does "path to citizenship" mean? Giving citizenship to Illegals IS amnesty.

He also said he's going to "put it in and then take it out" what does that mean? If that means, playing the Trump card by pulling the blanket underneath after he gets elected and then sending the DACA homes, I'm all for THAT. However, if he truly is allowing path to citizenship and allowing these Illegals to stay then that would be a total disappointment and would lose a lot of his supporters.

Thank you!

DT only cares about one person, himself; period, end of discussion.

He desparetly needs (and wants) to win in November, and if giving a bunch of illegal kids/young adults a "path to citizenship" will help his cause, so be it.

He STUPIDLY does this he won't win reelection. Plain out facts. He will be abandoned by his base including me and I JUST got back on board!
Why would you want to deny citizenship to kids who were brought here by their parents? That is some heartless thinking. Keep in mind that the fact that your parents had sex here really doesn't make you morally deserving of anything.
