I thank God for the day I saw the first glimmer of light and began my own personal walk away from the democratic left's plantation. The people I hang with now are a lot better, happier and more moral!
Leftists totally ignore all of the heinous acts by other leftists and bury their heads in the sand. They are fine with anarchy in the streets, murder, destruction of property and elimination of free speech.
Most rational people would condemn anarchy, violence, suppression of free speech, and intimidation to advance a political agenda. However, leftists, as they are totalitarian in nature, feel such measures are "justified" to achieve their goals.
It is really amazing to see how bold the left has become. In the past, they used to hide their acts of repression and intimidation. Now they are entirely out in the open and use these measures as a matter of course. As such acts are committed mostly by their "team" against conservatives, they feel none of this will affect them. However, we have already seen the left "eating its own" and using these repressive acts against other libs.
The blade of tyranny is indiscriminate and eventually cuts everyone.

They don't understand. And the ones that are 40+ don't understand what's going on with the younger generation and what's being taught in the colleges.
Used to be that conservatives were the stodgy, censorious school marms.
Now it's the liberals. Those old conservatives are dinosaurs that nobody listens to. And really, they have very little power to enact the most extreme "wish list" of their agenda.
The liberals on the other hand? They have seized control of all sectors of life. Currently working on business and finance. They can control the message and any opposition. It's going to take a LOT to dial back the craziness.
It is sad to think that we are only an election or 2 away from total collapse and Trump with all his faults may be the only thing that is keeping us from going over the edge.

Universally on this site, leftists still maintain that they and other leftists are for individual rights and preserving freedom. However, the modern leftist promotes (or tolerates)
1. suppression of free speech through political correctness
2. cancel culture
3. verbal and physical intimidation toward political opposition
4. violence and destruction of property
5. limiting or abolishing Constitutional Rights
6. eliminating or revising history to suit their needs
The actions of the modern left have evolved into the same totalitarian systems of the past, in which individual rights are trampled and tyrants within the state decide "the law" through fiat, not a Constitutional document.
Like "1984", all leftist systems evolve into a repressive, totalitarian system which generates individual misery. They do not see PC language as the "newspeak" of "1984" and the tool of revising history and eliminating anything that threatens the regime. It is simply a repeat of history; unfortunately it is being played out this time in the US.
