References:
A. Art. 4, Sec. 4, USCON
B. Since the USCON (Art. 6) is the supreme law, and it guarantees a republican form, established by the Declaration of Independence (and further stated in Art IV of Confederation), the Declaration is the supreme law of the land. Thus government’s job #1 = secure rights, job #2 = govern those who consent.
C. Declaration of Independence - citizens have privileges and immunities
D. Citizens are subjects, bound to perform mandatory civic duties.
E. Declaration of Independence - people have rights and powers
F. Declaration of Independence - American governments serve the people, but rule the citizenry
G. Social Security Act of 1935 - it is not compulsory, nor are non-participants punished
Not 1 in 100,000 Americans can accurately define the republican form of government, its source and origin, believing that it means a "constitutional republic" or that we're a democracy (which we are NOT).
The republican form existed BEFORE the USCON, and has no bearing on what a majority elects or which candidate wins.
