Once again, for the two hundredth time:And, Taiwan, a nation of 24 million has had EXACTLY 476 cases of CV. Compare that to Texas - a state of 29 million with, to date, 416,000 cases and over 6,500 deaths.
But, the stupidity from the tin foil hatters will continue - and this country will continue to wallow in the mud because too many stupid people refuse to do a very simple and intelligent thing - WEAR A MASK.
Those surgical masks are made of paper and blue plastic. They cannot be cleaned, are meant to be thrown out after usage, and replaced with a new fresh mask. Do you think a surgeon wears that same mask, blue latex gloves, surgery after surgery? Do you think they are just thrown out in the nearest garbage can? They are put in a Bio-Hazard Bin. Have you been wearing the same paper surgical mask day in day out?
If you are not disposing of the surgical masks and gloves on a daily basis, you are wearing contaminated items, and have a false sense of security.
A month ago, Yakima had one of the highest COVID-19 rates in the country. Today, they have bent the curve and are one of the few counties in WA heading in the right direction.
What changed? They went from 65% to 95% of people wearing masks.
That's the reality of how mask wearing works. If you want to open up, put on a mask.

Mandating that people of the US do anything like this will not lead to a good outcome.
The fabric of this nation is comprised of rebels. It is not comprised of people who will bow to demands to do anything so invasive as wear something on their face every time they go out in public.
The communists need to find their own places, or start their communes with such rules. Such demands of the general public, without forseeable end, continuously will be read as intolerable.
Rebelling against wearing a mask so you can increase the risk of coming down with the virus and possibly infecting people you may or may not know doesn't make any sense. But then maybe to some rebels, rebelling means being willing to put your well being or life in danger.
