Open Society Foundations Announce $220 Million for Building Power in Black Communities

“The success of this movement, the largest in U.S. history, will be measured over years, not weeks, and we cannot say that Black lives matter and not make a multi-year commitment to a strategy set by and centering Black leaders and organizations who changed America’s sense of what is possible,” said Tom Perriello, executive director of Open Society-U.S.

Recipients of this set of investments range from emerging groups to more established forces for civil rights. Among them: Black Voters Matter, Circle for Justice Innovations, Repairers of the Breach and the Equal Justice Initiative. Some are fighting for an end to policing as we know it, and others are fighting for access to the ballot.

End policing as we know it... even though many black folk understand that police as we know it is necessary.

Access to the ballot... not fair and legal voting standards - just ballot access and whatever that implies.

The Open Society Foundations has been working to advance racial justice in the United States for more than two decades. Founder and Chair George Soros began his philanthropic work in the United States in the 1990s, by challenging drug laws that unfairly target African Americans.

Their effort has been so successful, that we are addressing the same issues two decades later.

Where does the money go and what are they doing? It's been successful on the protest and chaos front.

No. I'm black... not a Marxist. Plenty of black folk are not Marxists.

Black Lives Matter is a Marxist group led by someone who is black who looks to destabilize communities and families (removing patriarchal system). These other groups are likely in the same boat.

Why do liberals stereotype everyone into one category? Why is your thinking slanted to even think I would imply all blacks are Marxists?

End policing as we know it DOES NOT mean end policing.

The Marxists that your speak of offers free legal representations to the poor and innocents who were convicted, internships to inner city kids, and make the city safer. That's all according to your source.

Jeez, that's so Marxist!!!

There are a few other recent threads on Soros that you guys should check out that go into more depth than this one.

You have to ask yourself who is Soros? Who and what does he represent? You need to know the answers to these questions before drawing your conclusions about a guy!!!! Is he just an old nice grandfather with an endless supply of money that is donating his hard earned money to neat social causes or does he have an ulterior motive?

I'll give you a hint of what this guy represents. You can write a book, an encyclopedia about the evils that stem from this man and what he represents but there isn't enough time for this now.

Picture a huge wedge with BLM painted on both sides of the wedge. That wedge costs 100 million dollars. George Soros will gladly pay for that wedge with the illusion that he's promoting BLM. Newsflash. George Soros could care less about BLM!!!!!!! George Soros will fund the wedge because it divides America. Pure and simple. That's all he's after.

Don't be deceived. He and his organization care ZERO about social causes that afflict America. He wants to see American torn apart at the seams and using the old "divide and conquer" technique is very effective. This furthers HIS cause. But he will giftwrap his money and falsely advertise it as backing for this social cause or that social cause. Don't be fooled.

What exactly is "his cause"? Dividing is a tactic, not a cause. Putin for example wants to use the tactic of dividing America to weaken us so we don't tower over them as much. So what's Soro's cause if it's not to support social causes?
