Many people on the right when they hear Black Lives Matter call it a hoax and Marxist organization that’s gonna bring communism to America, Defund the police, and so on. Well first of all every locality that is considering defund the police will be replaced with a public safety office similar to a police department. Which many people or places aren’t taking seriously. But many people when saying Black Lives Matter don’t actually support the organization. Many are just saying a statement. That Black Lives Matter. So for example, I can say Make America Great Again but doesn’t mean I’m necessarily supporting trump it’s just a statement saying I want to make America great again. So I just wanna do a poll to see how many people support the statement that Black Lives Matter

I agree with the perspective that the US has endemic racism coded into its culture, and this has led to a devaluation of people with higher levels of melanin in their flesh. I don't agree with a move to defund the police, although some reform may be needed. I don't think America needs to be made great "again"; it's still among the top places to live in the world. I do think there is room for improvement.

If you talk the talk you better walk the walk.

The blacks kids that have died recently tells me that BLM is not walking the walk.

Those children did nothing. Where's BLM?

Nailed it.

I'm fully behind the notion that black lives matter. I have some relatively serious questions about the organization with the same name.

You need to distinguish between 'black lives matter' and 'Black Lives Matter'. It was brilliance on the part of BLM to call it that because if you don't support them, they can call you a racist. I do not support Black Lives Matter but I think black lives matter. Not more than anyone else but I think the matter.

Yeah, I've said this a few times now, great "marketing" move so to speak.

I agree with others in that black lives matter. BLM is going to at one point step on too many toes, too many leftiest toes and you'll see a major backlash from people across the spectrum, that is my hope anyways.

Of course the lives of black people matter. This is why so much attention is called upon the horrendous black on black murder rate in this country. They are better than that, but democrats seem to be cool with it.

As far as BLM goes, they can rot in the pit of hell along with all other hate groups.

Yea it kind of is a shame the division the organization has caused. The statement I support fully but not the organization.

not sure how to respond.

i wont say the words BLM because of hte connection with BLM org and because it is directionally targeting only a fraction of black lives. It has become a term that ignors the thousands of black people (vast majority) that are killed annually by black people.

I absolutely understand that black people in America face a level of discrimination/racism that no other group deals with. beyond that, Black people feel oppressed maybe even beyond what is actual. however that perception is based on real things they as a group deal with.
