And this has nothing to do with skin color.
If the system is rigged as you allege, then yes it must be fixed to make a level playing field. That should be everyone's goal

For example, very few black kids get into the best specialized public high schools in NYC. They are trying to add quotas to let more in that would not otherwise qualify on the standardized test. That is a concrete example of equality of outcome, and ignores the fact that the student is not as qualified as the others who scored higher.

The proper way to do it is to support the child in the lower grades, and educate the parents on how to prepare their kids to succeed, and emphasize education, curiosity, and learning, and then just flat out study like crazy like the Asian kids they complain about so much. That would be equality of opportunity

Lowering the standard just dumbs down society

Right away you start talking about race, like the system isn't rigged against anyone not already in it.
The rigged system is what caused the collapse in 2008. About ten years ago there was a study which found that congressional representatives outperformed the market by 6 points. Senators? 10 points.
So imagine whats going on with those that don't need to share their financials. How many tax breaks does
Warren Buffet get? You and me? I have a very conservative friend who teaches economics at the college level tell me that the stock market is an inside game and you have to be on the inside to make money.

Race is what both sides use to keep us all occupied while they steal the whole pie.

This has been brewing for a long time now. The pandemic and Floyd are/were the perfect match to set it all off. Perfect combinations of events happening to fuel a lot of this nonsense.

I pray trump wins and some of this nonsense subsides. At some point, maybe in a few more election cycles, we will indeed get a nitwit like AOC in the office, maybe not her, but more and more dumbasses like her that want to reshape this country might somehow manage to win the office. The far left is good at small incremental changes, seeing it happen the last several decades now.

Want it more like some other country, then GTHO and go that country, leave this one alone.

At this point, the NYT is no longer a reliable news source. They had a bit of an insurrection, and the Far Left Marxist types won out. The NYT is now Pravda -- the USSR's primary propagandist newspaper for those not familiar.

You just described at least 95% of the Media. They are no more than corrupt, Far Left, radical activists.

Thanks. I can't believe that ideas from the far out fringe are being discussed like they are normal. And being carried out right now in major cities...without a clear idea of what to expect! An experiment. Blind faith! "Hey America, let's see what happens when we get rid of prisons and police...and rent too...and nuclear families while we're at it...and science, because 'whiteness' ... gone. What could possibly go wrong?" Uhhhh....EVERYTHING. If they are normalizing these ideas, they must hate this country.

They hate the Enlightenment, hate free and open societies

Because, you know, facts are inconvenient and get in the way of their feelings and what they "know" be true

They are Epistemology-Supremecists

Everyone gets so worked up over Opinion Pieces, there's just as much being published at the other end of the spectrum.
