How gullible can you get? Navarro did exactly what he was told to do. It backfired. Trump is trying to hang it on Navarro. He has to be careful because Navarro might spill the beans like the rest of his advisers. With Trump dragging the bottom in the polls already, he can't afford more truth to come out.

Peter Navarro is a total jerk. I knew it when he said that during his one appearance in a Trump Coronavirus task force briefing explaining the great supply chain he created for Trump. He acted like an arshole. He continued acting like an arshole when Jake Tapper interviewed him a few months later. This cements it. He should be on his way out. However Trump likes people like this. I think Trump knows sadly if he piles onto Fauci with this, he will have no chance to win election.
Trump loves Navarro. He's just pretending to love Fauci. Fauci will probably be fired very soon. If Trump does this it will backfire on him. Most trust Fauci over him.
Actually, Navarro and Trump should swap places. We could try that for a while. There are still a few months left ...
