Alabama Governor Kay Ivey on Wednesday announced a statewide mask mandate through the end of July as coronavirus cases continue to climb. The current "Safer At Home" order has been amended with the new mask ordinance and remains in effect until 5 p.m. on July 31.
The amended health order comes a day after the state reported a pandemic-high of 40 deaths in a single day.
