I read so many people who worship Dr Fauci and say if we wore masks early on we would be in better shape. We had “failed leadership”. So I show a video from 60 minutes from March where Dr Fauci specifically said there masks are not needed....and nobody comments, they just ignore it and say he is great and Trump failed. Doesn’t make sense.

And when you point this out, the backpedaling is fast and furious. Of course Fauci had perfectly good reasons for saying that, and his Sainthood in the Order of the White Coated Priests is unchallenged!
We have obvious issues with CDC and WHO that we need to address.
After this issue is taken care of, then we talk about the mistakes and other grievances we've had. Til' then I don't think we should be taking any pointers from Trump admin over an actual doctor...
I think we literally needed to be locked down early on for six weeks or so to eradicate this thing. America would never go along with mandatory full time home confinement if they won't even wear a little mask in a store for a bit. Early mask wearing may have helped, and Fauci dropped that ball, but eradication wasn't happening here without triggering something like that civil war the basement types have been yapping on about for years. Now we have to deal with this disease and its ugly consequences for who knows how long.

It was supposed to be gone by April, then easter... Then summer...

Eradication was NEVER, EVER going to happen. You weren't paying attention.
At least not until a vaccine was developed.
It was all about flattening the curve.
