Former NBA superstar and TNT celebrity Charles Barkley brings some timely wisdom to the overheated remarks and actions by some celebrity black people, who have been out making aggressively anti-semitic and anti-white racist remarks lately.

Charles Barkley: ‘We Can’t Allow Black People To Be Prejudiced Also’

Former NBA player Charles Barkley condemned recent expressions of antisemitism from prominent black entertainers and athletes. Barkley used the beginning of his show, which comes out twice a month, to point out the hypocrisy of those who claim other groups are racist while promoting hatred toward both Jewish and white people.

He cited the most notable examples of recent antisemitic and anti-white comments from prominent black Americans, including Eagles wide receiver Desean Jackson, former NFL running back Steven Jackson, former host of “Masked Singer” and “America’s Got Talent” Nick Cannon, and rapper Ice Cube.

Former NBA player and columnist for “The Hollywood Reporter” Kareem Abdul-Jabbar also expressed outrage at the lack of appropriate responses at these racist incidents. His column called out some of the same cultural elites.

“These famous, outspoken people share the same scapegoat logic as all oppressive groups from Nazis to the KKK: all our troubles are because of bad-apple groups that worship wrong, have the wrong complexion, come from the wrong country, are the wrong gender or love the wrong gender,” Abdul-Jabbar said. “It’s so disheartening to see people from groups that have been violently marginalized do the same thing to others without realizing that perpetuating this kind of bad logic is what perpetuates racism.”

We ALL need to be better than this. We need this kind of leadership right now, and it is good to see it being provided by not only Charles Barkley, but also Kareem Abdul Jabar in response to this situation. Of course we had a similar response also from President Trump during his Fourth of July speech, but the TDS crowd is apparently too far gone in their hysterical hatred of the president to appreciate the wisdom of his words and the quality of the leadership that he provided in that speech.

I wholeheartedly agree with both Barkley and Abdul-Jabber. Being black is not an excuse for being a bigot yourself. I am grateful to see these gentlemen speaking out. Where are our other black leaders?

Kudos to Barkley and to Kareem for their words on this topic.

As a young teen in the early 80's Kareem showed up to the local YMCA center to give a talk to our basketball league. He has always been a class act. His Hall of Fame induction speech was also great. Kareem has always been the thinking man's athlete.

As for the bolded part, you have got to be kidding. Asking Trump to pontificate on race relations is like asking an arsonist to give a speech on stopping fires.

I thought athletes and Hollywood types were suppose to shut up and just entertain us?

Didn't Laura Ingraham tell Lebron to "shut up and dribble"?

Has it ever crossed anyone's mind why prejudice is so ubiquitous among humans? And why it has to be constantly combated and punished? Propagandizing people 24/7 in the media and through "education". And that just drives it out of sight or makes people feel guilty, but it never gets rid of it. It is always there, and always will be there.

Humans are tribal. We say equality is good, but are drawn to those that think, look, and behave like us. Media inflames it, and racebaits which doesn’t help.

Maybe I missed something... are there white leaders that direct white people? Asian people? Hispanics?

They don't have leaders. Why are we expected to have leaders?

Shouldn't we strive for prejudices based on principles though?

You did admit to being a racist and sexist in another thread so I don't think you've considered this but just food for thought.

There are several self appointed "leaders" of the Black Community as well as Black politicians that take it upon themselves to champion the cause of maintaining Black Victim hood, Government dependency and hence control. .

What's interesting is that Barkley is a well-known conservative and Kareem is a well-known liberal. It shows that thoughtful people from both sides of the aisle can agree with one another. Too bad this is increasingly rare with actual politicians.
