Heck, I make 7 figures (with over $500k being wages) and I paid nearly zero in federal income taxes last year. My taxes have been going down every year since Trump's tax law.

In the past, I paid more in taxes than you make in salary. So I'm def better off than I used to be.

Yes absolutely. Now with Biden I expect that I will lose money. It’s depressing to work hard so you can be taxed more and more to support people not interested in working,

I work hard so that I make enough so that if taxes were increased it wouldn't impact my lifestyle. You should try getting a better job or learning better skills if you're finances are so shaky.

This is the problem with the lazy people. They don't want to work hard. They will do the bare minimum.

OP
Wealth wise: Weathier but that wealth means nothing if you can't use it for intended purposes.
Mentally: Worse off. We can't give hugs to our DS, his GF, or offer handshakes to anyone. We can't visit siblings or other relatives. I have mixed feelings that my father (WWII vet, public health, pulmonary surgeon and family MD passed at 99.5yo) passed so that he wouldn't see CoVid.

Not really. I'm not worse off either. If I am better off, it's because of my doing. I moved to another state and my cost of living dropped a little bit.

If you asked me this question in 2016, the answer would have been yes. If you asked me this question in 2012, the answer would have been no. If you asked me this question back in 2008, it would been an emphatic NO.

We all will lose money with Biden, at least those of us that are successful.

Other than those affected by Covid, chances are those that didn't do well this past four years, didn't do well the previous four years and won't do well the next four years. There are some people out there that, sadly are extremely hard working, but never seem to get ahead. And then of course there are the moochers out there.
