Calling me out for "what I am"? Wow, who made you judge and jury? I don't know about caring less about anyone else, but for sure I don't care about you or your opinion.
I don't have to be judge and jury, you've already plead guilty. "As long as the legislation doesn't affect you, the hell with everyone else". How else could your posts be interpreted? That's a reflection of who you are. Too bad I called you out on it. Obviously you must care about my opinion otherwise you wouldn't have answered me.
I'd say that you have better chance of being struck by lightning in a National Park than being accidentally shot. Especially when you take into consideration that's one accidental shooting out of 3 million people each year for 42 years.
But anyway that's beside the point. Your original post #54 implied that Obama now made it LEGAL to "play" with loaded guns in our national parks. Which is a gross exaggeration and nothing could be further from the truth.
My point was and still is that it is illegal to "play" with either a loaded or unloaded firearm as it could be considered a negligent mis-use of a firearm. Why is that so difficult for you to understand?
It was the first shooting death in the park since 1978.....because there was a decades long ban. It`s in the article.

Okay I'll give you that. Carrying a firearm in national parks have been legal since Feb 22 2010 that's 10 years times 3 million visitors. Since that shooting took place in 2013. Your odds of getting accidentally shot are 30 million to one.
But you still haven't addressed the fact that: "Your original post #54 implied that Obama now made it LEGAL to "play" with loaded guns in our national parks. Which is a gross exaggeration and nothing could be further from the truth."
Do I have to repeat this again: It is illegal to "play" with either a loaded or unloaded firearm as it could be considered a negligent mis-use of a firearm. It's not LEGAL, It's not LEGAL, It's not LEGAL. Why is that so difficult for you to understand?

Why does the death being caused by shooting matter? Do other manners of death cause less grief for the family members? Are they less deadly? Would it have been better for the victim to have been killed with an axe? Dead is dead.
You're assuming I'm not aware of what took place in Virginia. You're wrong. The next county over from mine is a sanctuary county. However, I'm not hysterical about it. I still own the gun I need.
That poster assumes a lot - then runs away when demonstrated to be wrong. Don't pay them any mind.
And raise objections when children's cartoons start including characters of other ethnicities. And, of course, fund LaPierre's lifestyle.
I never said they were perfect , did I ? They've done much more good for firearms rights and training in the past than negative. I don't agree with everything they do or say though, just like any other group or person.
Whatever. The NRA hasn't supported the 2nd amendment for a long time. And neither does Trump with that ridiculous bump-stock ban. I bet it's just a move to get some donation money.
I thought the ban was stupid as well, almost as stupid as having a bump stock. It was a bone he tossed to make the uninformed think he did something and to shut them up.
Then why would you support a political party that wants to take them away from you, turning you into a criminal in the process? Somehow I don't believe that you: "own enough guns and ammo to go to war". I've read God only knows how many people make that same statement? Yet support the political party that has shown nothing but contempt for the 2nd Amendment and those who choose to lawfully exercise it.
Myself, I don't speak for the NRA. You'd be better off asking them yourself? But as an American citizen I support the right of every law abiding citizen to keep and bear arms for any lawful purpose whatsoever regardless of race, color or creed.
I certainly do not support the police unjustifiably gunning down ANYONE regardless of race, color or creed. However that can only be determined in a court of law. Not by you, me, anyone else, the NRA, or any other group for that matter. Unless of course we're called to serve on a jury. Everyone in this country is entitled to their due process rights. Or do you wish to eliminate that as well?
I will never understand this. My own dad, whom carries everyday , votes Democrat. It's just baffles me.
