We go to Walmart every 3-4 weeks for grocery. That's pretty much it, unless I run out of milk, then it's a quick trip to Dollar General. So happy to see WM requiring masks now. I go really early when many are wearing them already.
No, it's not good for the economy, but I've always been a retailer's nightmare as I hate to shop, lol.
We are extremely fortunate to live somewhere with milk delivery, and I happily pay the premium to have fresh dairy and eggs dropped at my front door before sunrise once a week.
Our other spending is a monthly donation to the local food pantry. We are fine, but so many others through no fault of their own are struggling to keep meals on the table.
What the righty tighties dont seem to get is that the economy was doomed whether shut down by govt or shut down by the corpses piled up on the sidewalks. There is no economic win except in very short term by opening things and wishing upon a star that virus will just go away. All you do is buy a tiny bit of extra profit in exchange for lot of lives.
Would it been so hard to just declare a bank holiday for the duration. Also holiday on utility bills. No accumulating rent, no accumulating interest on loans. No evictions. So neither renters nor landlords are hurting. All put on hold until virus is under control. Only effect, some bankers and 1%rs arent making any profit. Hand out food not money. Yea food production and distribution has to continue. So majority have shelter and food. Live with it.
Instead we have crazy govt charity to the wealthy. I have no idea how many still havent got their one time $1200 (or whatever it was, I forget) handout. I havent and suspect I would qualify. I know some that applied for unemployment three months ago havent seen one dollar.
Yes. The radical Democrats have tried to destroy the entire country.. They have sealed their fate, this was the last nail in the coffin.
They did all this to try and hurt Trump.
Hateful Democrats need to GO!!!!!!!!!!
Apparently you had your blinders on to what the Republicans did to Obama. Just chant evil black man (actually most likely using a slur that would be banned here). And hey I didnt vote for Obama, not cause he was a black man, but cause to ME, he is a REPUBLICAN. I just didnt like his overly conservative politics. Far as the man himself, he was obviously very bright and good public speaker. Way better public speaker than we have had for POTUS in long time.
Republicans lose all credibility blaming evil leftists not lapping up the "second coming of Christ" Trump presidency. His poop may be pure manna from heaven to you, but he is all poop and reeks to high heaven to everybody else.

That is so kind of you, and I agree about helping others who are less fortunate. We too are okay and I wake up thankful every single day.
Unlikely. COVID-19 is real, and it’s going to fundamentally remake our economy no matter who sits in the White House.
IF people would get that this is a medical issue, not a political issue, maybe we could get it under control.
But I am afraid its not going to happen with the admin we have now. HE makes all things politically about HIM.

Well, it’s not like we’re going to spend that money on a vacation any time soon! I honestly feel ashamed that I haven’t been doing it all along. COVID-19 has completely reworked my priorities. I would encourage each of you to think of doing the same if there’s any slack in your budget. Even $5 makes a difference. And if you need help, please visit your local food pantry. I’m giving so you can put food on the table and keep yourselves going.
