Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment since May because of a recurrence of cancer, the justice said in a statement Friday. “I have often said I would remain a member of the Court as long as I can do the job full steam,” Ginsburg said. “I remain fully able to do that.”

If something happens to her before the election, Mitch Mcconnell needs to hold to the precedent he set by waiting until the election is over before approving a new Supreme Court Justice. He denied Obama his judge and said they shouldn't approve a new judge during an election year.

If the opportunity arises the president will appoint and the senate will confirm a justice before he leaves office...…… whether that is a matter of months, or years.
