NASA and other scientific organizations have predicted the same. I can see from the COVID-19 response how many ignorant people that will never understand climate change, they just don't like science.
Hilarious-
AGW is the opposite of science. If you understood "science" this would be apparent to you.
The 1977 Time cover is fake. It never existed. I wouldn't expect a denialist Trump supporter to know that though.
Furthermore, even though we had some really cold winters in the 1970s and there were a couple of scientists who predicted cooling (and magazines reported that), the scientific consensus was STILL warming back then. I darn sure wouldn't expect a denialist Trump supporter to know that.
. A survey of peer reviewed scientific papers from 1965 to 1979 show that few papers predicted global cooling (7 in total). Significantly more papers (42 in total) predicted global warming (Peterson 2008). The large majority of climate research in the 1970s predicted the Earth would warm as a consequence of CO2. Rather than 1970s scientists predicting cooling, the opposite is the case.

Again, we had some cold winters in the 1970s. A couple of scientists predicted global cooling during that period. As I posted..... the consensus even then was STILL warming.
If you are going to make the claim that the "experts" said it was cooling back then you need to bring some papers supporting your argument. And there ARE a couple.
And to be fair, both US News and Time both had articles about global cooling in the mid 1970s based on those studies.
But that Time cover is fake. Pure and simple. Time Magazine has addressed this issue multiple times. I posted one earlier. Here is another one. And there are even more than these from Time. Not to mention other outlets who reported it being a fake.
There have always been places that are too hot and dry for humans - they are called deserts.
