Researchers and doctors studying the coronavirus are still trying to pinpoint what makes some people so sick while others experience a far less serious bout with the virus. In a new study published today in the Journal of Adolescent Health, researchers looked at a sample of 8,400 men and women between the ages of 18 and 25 using data gathered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. From this group, which represented a cross-section of young adults in the United States, the authors found that 33 percent of males and 30 percent of women were considered at risk of developing severe COVID-19.
Throughout the pandemic, the risk to young people has, at times, been understated. Although the majority of COVID-19 deaths have occurred in older people, young people are in no way immune to experiencing severe cases of COVID-19.
Please wake up and start believing that this is real!
One would think by now they wouldn't have to speculate, and could instead report on an actual number/% that are experiencing issues - and extrapolate from there.
For better or for worse, if I have to fight through a bunch of pop-ups to read the article, thn it's discounted.

Keep being afraid.
COVID HAS TURNED FEAR INTO A VIRTUE. Those who are afraid believe they're better people than those who aren't, and will subconsciously look for ways to multiply that fear, because it's their virtue.

Not only will COVID kill us all, COVID has already killed us all. We are all posting from the afterlife. Unfortunately COVID can even kill us here, and send us to a worse afterlife, so still wear your masks at all times.

I'm pretty fearless, and at the beginning of this didn't want to shut anything down. Pull the bandaid off, and just keep swimming to the other side.
But I've changed my mind. I know a few formerly healthy people who had it and aren't recovering. Technically they're virus free, but they're not well.
I'm also concerned for Texas, with three major metropolitan areas with booming hospitalizations, and I don't know if booming death rates will follow.
They're opening the Austin convention center as an "overflow field hospital". There's a feeling that we're at a tipping point - are we at peak, or approaching peak, and then will begin to see a decline? Maybe. Hope to God.
And so now, when I see groups of people gathering, it makes me mad where before I just thought they were too dumb to protect themselves. I just feel like if we could for god's sake wear masks for a couple weeks more, and STOP GATHERING WITHOUT THEM, we'd be more hopeful.
I know some people for some reason enjoy being fearful, and enjoy spreading fear, but I'm not one of them, and my family isn't like that. We're genuinely become fearful of this thing that is just ballooning out of control.
And who knows. Maybe this time next month we'll be done with the worst of it. Maybe not.

They want to kill the economy and society until November, then it will miraculously disappear.

This^ is on point.
Sadly, it has become what is happening.
