We're never going to "get a handle on the virus". They'll just keep shifting the goal posts until it's no longer politically convenient to do so. First it was 15 days to flatten the curve. Now we need to stay locked down because of a "2nd wave". Later it'll be a 3rd wave, or wait for the vaccine. There will always be another excuse until people stand up, and say enough is enough.
