A lot of "experts" are again blaming Americans for our failure to control this virus. We don't care they say, we're not wearing masks enough, we came out of lockdown too soon. Meanwhile in countries like Germany where infections are down over 90% from their peak mask usage is also fairly poor among the general population. They also came out of lockdown sooner than many states.

Ultimately our massive wealth inequality problem and lack of national healthcare are negating the lockdown. People still go to work sick terrified they'll lose their job and health insurance in a pandemic. Hidden crowded slum housing with multiple ultra poor families living in 1 bedroom apartments are proving to be hotspots for disease spread. Ultimately these people end up going to the store and into pulbic and spreading this disease to wealthier people.

Our systemic problems are why despite our efforts the USA's response is having the same effect as Chile, Brazil or India and not other civilized first world nations.
