THIS is the way to get this shut down. Send in the moms, everyone will go back home. The genius of it is they are wearing very bright yellow shirts, so they can be seen as one unit, and rioters will be unlikely to target them.
I don't know - we'll see. Might not work. Might work amazingly quickly.
And for those who want the rioting to stop, why does this anger so many of you?

If my mom showed up it would not be to help me cause more trouble and interfere with the police.

This is how I read it. These are parents defending little Johnny and Sally. The rioters are used to their parents shielding them from consequences, so they will not be deterred by "mom" being there. They always have been there defending them the other times they have been making trouble. 40-50 years ago this might have been a discouragement, but not anymore.
Who in their right mind is upset that agents are trying to stop the destruction, arson, looting and mayhem? Cuckoo. Tds has obviously mutated into full blown mental breakdown.
Just check out the many threads here...there are plenty of people that are upset about the federal jackboots "kidnapping" innocent patriotic protesters for exercising their 1st Amendment rights.

So when their - Kid gets arrested for extreme violent crimes, Lets Say Murder. Mom will go on TV and Say, Oh, he is Such a Good Boy, I promise you... Look at his baby pics. He meant no harm. Pfff.

your prediction is that because the moms get in front, the current crop of protestors - both lawful and illegal - will go home? Or just the illegal ones?

you think Portland (for example) has TRIED anything else?
Require permits for the protest
Have an enforced curfew
Put cops - plain clothes or uniformed - among the protestors
Arrest every single one of them that breaks a law. this includes failure to disperse from blocking roadways.
If the municipal governance wants to st up protest zones to get away from illegal street blocking - have at it.
