This is what I mean by unhelpful presence of federal agents. According to multiple news reports, the mayor was addressing the protesters, listening to their concerns, and doing his best to de-escalate the tension. Federal agents deploying tear gas attacks during this assembly is counterproductive and demonstrates two things:
1. These federal agents are poorly trained for the task and the situation
2. One of the objectives is to interfere with local officials and disrupt attempts at de-escalation
The Trump administration is purposely weaponizing federal law enforcement to incite MORE violence in cities. People who loot, destroy property, and commit acts of violence need to be held accountable, but DHS and the Trump administration also share in that responsibility. The escalation tactics by DHS is absolutely disgusting.

How about flipping the script here. Show me verification from Patriot Prayer, the Proud Boys or any other Right leaning group is allowed to have any event in Portland unmolested by Antifa. Just basic 1st Amendment protections for them to protest. I'm not asking for a hit piece from Vox or CNN or any Leftist propaganda site. Those morons will tell you that Patriot Prayer and the Proud Boys are fundamentally white supremacists and part of the Alt-Right, which is an outright lie.
All I'm asking for is just verification directly from any Righty group stating that they are completely satisfied that Portland and Portland PD has defended and protected their right to peacefully assemble, protest, rally, etc.
The reason you won't be able to do this is because it simply isn't true. Quite the opposite. Antifa shows up and attacks. Portland PD does nothing and you end up with a street brawl. If you're Antifa, you can smack a guy over the head, leaving him unconscious and bleeding on the street. Antifa virtually always starts the fights, but seldom gets prosecuted. If you're against Antifa, you get arrested just for self-defense.
Portland will call collaboration, aiding and abetting terrorists "supporting the 1st Amendment" because they're on the same side as Antifa, BLM and other Marxist Insurgents. But the true test of freedom of speech is allowing people to say things you completely disagree with. Portland only protects the speech of those that they agree with. They'll just let the mob attack you if you're on the Right.
PS: "Tiny" the second in command of Patriot Prayer was banned from protesting for two years. How's that for freedom of speech? How many members of Antifa's many cells have been similar banned?

They're not my heroes. I simply recognize that the Antifa label is being thrown around at pretty much any group opposed to Trump and they are always cast as the villain. No matter what the other group has done. I ask how they are identified and people mention the 'uniform'. Now even that is not needed. So anyone could be Antifa and they should be labeled terrorists. Do you not hear how dangerous that sounds?
