So City of Charleston having to add more police to patrol to make people feel safe.

SEems residents in that city have seen a run on the guns they leave in their cars....unlocked,....so the criminals help themselves. IT is something that happens in my area too.

Can we just make people who leave their gun in a car unlocked banned from ever owning a gun in their life time. They aren't responsible....they do not deserve the right to own a gun.

So to be clear, it's the federal government stepping in to subject a certain rule by physical force, even though the local governments don't want it?

That's about the most authoritarian thing I've ever seen in the US.
