Executive branch shouldn't comment on a criminal case for sure. That's fundamentally correct.
More importantly you don't wish well someone who is accused of trafficking in underage girls........especially when you are in a BUNCH of pictures at parties with her and the guy she worked for.
Doesn't matter what Trump's base thinks. The idea in November is not to get Trump fans on board, it is to get all those swing voters to be scared off by the whackadoodle....this works
He was asked. He and his staff should have known he was going to be asked. He should have had a terse, non-committal, dismissive statement - not wishing the accused well.
