Here I am.

This incident happened in one of the most violent communities in Chicago.

There is no question this shootout involved gangs.

It happened outside a funeral home. The service was for a 31 year old male shot and killed last week. He likely was affiliated with a gang.

Similar incident happened at a memorial a few summers ago. The local alderman made national news when he announced no innocents had been shot/ killed. That memorial was for a slain gang member. His gang put out a challenge on social media. The rival gang did not disappoint and burst out of an alley with guns blazing. The mourners pulled out their guns and a battle ensued.

Thinking it’s likely something similar happened, this evening.

80% of the shootings happen on 8% of the blocks in the city.

Nearly 3 million people live in Chicago. Most of them do not live in the most dangerous areas or have any reason to go to these neighborhoods.

Last year there were 55 million overnight visitors in Chicago. They spend huge sums on lodging, dining, entertainment and shopping. None have any reason to visit one of the dangerous neighborhoods and they don’t get shot. Covid 19 has put a serious dent in tourism and hotel occupancy throughout the US, this year.

Why is democrat leadership in some cities protecting the criminal elements? Its like they are paid off or part of it.

So in summary it happened in a poor black area and as long as it doesn't impact the wealthy it doesn't matter.
This is why most conservatives hate the #BLM movement - it isn't actually about black lives.

Continue to let this increase and it will continue to spread to areas that are wealthier and considered much safer. We have seen it before and every politician (both parties) wanted to be the tough on crime guy - hence Bidens Crime bill in the 90s.

Violence has a way of proliferating and spreading to other areas, particularly if those committing the violent acts know that the police are hamstrung and unable to enforce the law.

Are you prepared to defend yourself?
