Dudrey is certainly free to hold whatever views that she wants. But expressing disdain for the Commander In Chief while in uniform is a big no-no. Note, I'm not in favor of booting her from the service, but she definitely needs to face some kind of disciplinary action from where I stand. She may also need a mental health evaluation as she looked completely insane during her rant.
I think she SHOULD be booted from service. She disrespected (to put it nicely) her commanding officer while representing the U.S. military. If I screamed "f*** CEO's name" of any company I worked for, I would be escorted to the curb, my personal items in a box, within 15 minutes.
Where I work we have strict rules on speaking to the press or publicly. No uniform, but it amounts to the same thing: don't speak as a representative of the company. Ever. There's a PR department that handles questions from outside.
The enlistment oath that every American enlisted service member states, and signs:
I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."
I served in a unit in that same area myself. We had strict standing orders about commuting on/off the base, and what we could or could not do in uniform, which only included brief stops for very specific reasons (such as pick up or drop off a child at childcare). I have no doubt it is the same today. These orders regarding being in transit while in uniform also applied to officers.
I'm not arguing with any of that. And, her behavior was unacceptable, regardless of whether she is in the Navy, or a burger flipper at MacDonald's.
But in my not-so-humble opinion, shouting "F#$D[is that spelled right?] Trump" was the least of her offenses.
